What's the safest way to transport oil paintings which were painted within last two months?

If your paintings are still too tacky to varnish, use a ';Retouch Varnish'; to reduce tack and protect the surface somewhat. You can varnish over this when the paintings have cured.

The paintings should be crated, here's an easy way; wood or sturdy cardboard triangles are screwed into the bars on the back that extend beyond the edge of the painting. The painting is placed inside a sturdy carton larger and deeper than the painting, and the extended corners are attached to the carton on one side using small bolt %26amp; nut or even silicon glue. This way the carton doesn't touch the painting surface. For larger paintings, a wood carton is recommended.
