Consult a local art dealer, in fact consult several and get the best price from them.If they do not personally want them they can guide you to a salesroom that will auction them. Good luck. How can i best sell original oil paintings created by my father?
You should be able to get at least that much for an oil painting, even by an unknown, if they are GOOD.

Unfortunately there's not much hope of selling things like that quickly. You might luck into a gallery that will take them, or you might not. You should investigate art fairs, shows put on by your local art or painting society, etc. Also, every so often you'll run across a restaurant or coffee shop that has art by local artists for sale on its walls.

What the heck. Put them on EBAY and set a reserve price which would also cover estimated shipping.
Art does find its own level of price. If your Dad's paintings are very good they will sell for very good money, where ever you offer them. I would not , though, put them on ebay as buyers like to examine them closely. Offer them in a local exhibition - amateur or otherwise. A gallery will take at least 40% of the selling price
why dont you get in touch with a local gallery and get some advice from them. they may even be able to sell them for you.i dont know where you are but there are a lot of gallerries down in cornwall. its worth a try ..good luck
First you need an opinion of their value. Try your local auction, fine art auction if you have one. Without knowing the subject and style it is hard to help. Did he exibit with a local art group. What part of the country are you in. We have an

'; art on the railings '; scheme where we can sell our work outdoors on summer Saturdays. Don't take less than 拢100 for anything framed.
take his work to an art gallery nearby, have it evaluated. any good art dealer can give you an idea of its worth.
