What is the best way to store original oil paintings. They will be packed for six months in a storage unit?

Hang it on the wall.

No matter what else you do, but especially if you hide it, it WILL get wrecked in storage.

At the Aviation Museum in Ottawa, there is a airplane which was put into storage in mint condition. Not a mark on it.

You have to see what came out of storage. Definitely NOT in flying condition.

Seriously, get a professional mover to pack it and call your local museum for references.

Talk to the professional packer about HIS insurance policy.

When I had to put stuff in storage, the storage company manager was VERY helpful.

Seriously, consider just hanging it on the wall of the unit. What could happen? You have the key. What is the best way to store original oil paintings. They will be packed for six months in a storage unit?
I don't know if this is the best way but this is what I do with my oil paintings.. Wrap them in Wax Paper and store them in a small walk in cooler. If you don't have that available a cool dry place would suffice! What is the best way to store original oil paintings. They will be packed for six months in a storage unit?
tightly packed in individual wooden crates in a clean, dry place.

I would check on the temp and humidity every now and then before you store them there, or during if that's possible.

or just hang them on a friend's wall, out of the sun.
