Any ideas on how to clean gold leaf oil paintings?

I have several gold leaf oil paintings (approx 30 yrs old) that are in need of cleaning before getting new frames around them. Any suggestions on how to clean them up without it costing an arm %26amp; a leg. ;)Any ideas on how to clean gold leaf oil paintings?
sorry, if you value your paintings, you will have to have someone who is insured and bonded and experienced in such matters to do the work. and it may not cost a whole arm and leg...they may only want a few fingers and toes and a bit of blood and your first born.Any ideas on how to clean gold leaf oil paintings?
Handling gold leaf will destroy it.

Cheapest way is to 're-leaf' it but that is not an option if there is any historic value to it.
