How do you protect your fresh oil paintings from damage other than framing or lamination?

Is there any chemical treatment for just storing them in their Original condition?

You should varnish oil paintings, when they are completely dry (which can take several months). That's it.

No one should ever laminate an oil painting. That would cause more damage than any atmospheric condition. How do you protect your fresh oil paintings from damage other than framing or lamination?
';Fresh???'; No. Nothing you can do but keep it in a safe place, framing helps, but nothing you can do.

You cannot even use varnish until the painting has had plenty of time to dry. Depending on how thick you paint, that can take as long as a year or more.

Then a good coat of varnish is smart.
When i'm done i simply hang them untill they are dry enough to varnish and frame.
